Parameter setup migration was created by Ramya
Hi,
there is an existing area with all the parameter files setup
I need to create a new area which will exact replica of the exiting area (but with few changes in some files). Currently i am doing it using DL.DEFINE & OFS. If there any other way we can migrate the parameter tables.
Also is there any existing utilities to verify whether the files are correctly migrated?

There is a core utiltiy COPY.RECORDS.IHLD, check whether this is suitable for your requirement.
Else, create a Q pointer and copy the records from there.

Replied by Ramya on topic how to create a Q pointer
Hi Gva,
Thanks for your reply.
can you give an example to create Q pointers.
Q pointers can be used if the 2 environments are in the same server.
Regards,
Ramya

Q pointers is only for transferring between two servers.
First check whether you have jrfs installed and running in your server & client machine.
