Hi

Use PD.CAPTURE module to capture the overdraft account. This should be within the category of Current Account.

Hi Bala Gates,

As you mentioned, I have been trying before i posted, as I tried to do PD.CAPTURE only the value NEW or AZ... (AZ Loan Account with prefix AZ) are allowed.

If for Overdraft Account the value in the Contract Reference, I must put NEW, is it right? If like that the PDPDxxxxxx will be create so that it's very difficult for user to remember. That's why I'm asking for PDAC..... where it's just prefixed by PDAC followed by Overdraft Account Number.

As I found in the helptext, I try to setup the PD.PARAMETER with record AC for Overdraft Account but after end of day processing (COB) there is not PDACs were created. I don't know why?

But it's not very much useful for me to setup the Parameter for AC in PD.PARAMETER if we can use PD.CAPTURE to capture interest and can have PD reference as PDAC.....

Note: If we use PD.CAPTURE with NEW keyword in the Contract Number (Field 1), the system will generate new PD reference in field "21 Next PD ID".

Does anyone have experience with the above mention and could kindly share with me?

Thanks you again Bala Gates for your response anyway,

Hi

The steps to be followed for creating a pd with the account no.

1. Create a record with AC in PD.Parameter
2. SET THE FIELD NO. 49.1,50.1,51.1,52.1
means what are the categories between 1000-9999 you are going to create for PD
3. Set the FIELD NO. 53 AC.OD.DAYS to 1
means after how many days the overdraft account should be created to PD.
4. Set the Liquidation Mode for the particular account to MANUAL.

then execute a COB. PD will be created with PDAC...

Hi Bala_Gates,

OK thanks you very much for your valuable response and i try it now but the cob might take long time, i response to you once i complete the cob.

Anyway, is it possbile to capture PDAC by using PD.CAPTURE? I want only capture interest for the PD or I want the system to Capitalize interest to PDAC, is it possbile?

Thanks you again,

Hi
When you create any record through PD.Capture, other than contract type everything will be created as PDPD.....

Actually what are you trying to do with the overdraft account. If you can tell me clearly I think I can help you.

Hi,

As per bank requirement, once the overdraft is classified as Non-Performance Loan (It can be Sub Standard, Doubtful or Loss) it does mean that the customer has been overdued the payment for sometime already.

In this case, the bank does not capitalise the interest accrual anymore but the interest accrual is still continued. Once the come has some fund to repay the bank any amount on interest, the bank accept the payment.

As we can partially pay the interest accrual, the bank decide to have PDAC record as you know, in PD the system allow to partially pay interest.

At the time customer come to pay, the bank first want to receive fund to his settlement account first then capitalise interest accrual to PD or any account before going to PD. So partial payment on interest in PD is allowed right?

If possible, pls tell me the configuration and guide me how to do that.

Thanks for your kind sharing and support.

Case : 1

The suspension of Accrual is possible only when the PD contract is in NAB.

In field No. 19 NAB.PERIOD.INT set to days, after this days the system will suspend the Intrest Accrual, but the calculation will remain continue.

Once the contract has switched status to NAB, the system will stop accruing and posting the penalty interest due, but calculation of
the penalty interest will continue.

Case : 2

When customer pays some money in the account, you can set the payment should be updated by the debitting the Overdraft Amount and after that the interest should be deducted.

In field No. 33.1 Repayment Order PR,
33.2 = IN, 33.3 = CH, 33.4 = PE and so on...

Once you set the parameter like this, the system will adjust all the customers payments in this hierarchy.

Hope this will help you to set up the parameter. Still if you need any queries please feel free.

Hi. Sorry for the delay. here are the steps:

*
 Creation of AC record in table PD.PARAMETER
To do that I used same fields’ values as those in AZ record, but with some differences:
• Make sure WOF.CATEGORY is an existing category
• Put “Yes” in SUB.PAY.SETTING (only value allowed for AC)
• Use “5” for CONTRACT.METHOD (only value allowed for AC)
• Put “NO” in NAB.PERIOD.INT and NAB.PERIOD.SPRD if you don’t need to have NAB in the PD process : that is what i did
• Leave empty PENALTY.SPREAD, PEN.CALC.BASIS and PS.CALC.BASIS fields because penalties aren’t allowed for AC
• Set the range of CATEGORY for the account you want to use by using AC.CB.CATEG.FR for the starting category and AC.CB.CATEG.TO for the last one
•AC.CP.CATEG.FR and AC.CP.CATEG.TO could be used to specify the resolving credit account categories to be link to PD.
*
 CREATION OF LIMIT REFERENCES in LIMIT.REFERENCE
Here you must create a main reference and child reference. If you do not create LIMITs, the all overdraft amount of the monitored ACCOUNTs would be assumed overdue. Pay attention to the IDs format used for the two records.
•Create the “child” LIMIT.REFEREENCE WITH ID XYZT
•Create the “main” LIMIT.REFEREENCE WITH ID XY00 -> note that the “child” LIMIT.REFERENCE is specified in this record so it has to be create in second position; further, also note that the field LIMIT percentage is not allowed for the “main” LIMIT.REFERENCE.
*
 UPDATING THE “SYSTEM” RECORD LIMIT.PARAMETER table
• Duplicate the “Application” field specify with application will be affected by the LIMIT you will create
• Specify the “child” LIMIT.REFERENCE in sub-value Product No
• Use decision field, decision operator, decision from, decision to, to specify the decision rules.
• Add the in fields COM.PRODUCT.GROUP, COU.PRODUCT.GROUP and CCY.PRODUCT.GROUP duplicate the sub-values COM.PRODUCT.NO, COU.PRODUCT.NO and CCY.PRODUCT.NO and put in each of them the ID of you “child” REFERENCE.LIMIT.
*
 CREATION OF LIMIT entries in LIMIT table
Remember to create first the parent line with the “main” LIMIT.REFERENCE before the line in which you use the “child” LIMIT.REFERENCE. The IDs of the records in LIMIT table are on the format LIABILITY.LIMIT_REFERENCE.LIMIT_NUMBER, the first part is the ID of the affected CUSTOMER, the second part is the LIMIT.REFERENCE’s ID. You have to add some “0” before to get 7 digits. The last part is a 2 digits number you will use to identify the occurrence of this LIMIT you are assigning to the CUSTOMER.
• Create the parent line using the “main” LIMIT.REFERENCE
•Create the “child” line using the “child” LIMIT.REFERENCE
Make sure you specify the currency and the limit amount before trying to commit
*
 LINKING THE ACCOUNT TO THE LIMIT AND TO THE PD APPLICATION
•Link ACCOUNT to the LIMIT
Just edit CUSTOMER’s ACCOUNT and put in the field LIMIT.REF: LIMIT_REFERENCE.LIMIT_NUMBER (the two last part of the record in LIMIT)
•Link ACCOUNT to the PD application
Just edit CUSTOMER’s ACCOUNT and put in the field LIQUIDATION.MODE: MANUAL or SEMI-AUTOMATIC referring to your needs. Only these two values allow PD application to monitor the ACCOUNT and raise PDs.
*
 Do a withdrawal to overdraw the given ACCOUNT below the LIMIT amount you SET
 RUN A COB
After the COB PDAC…. records should have been created in PD.PAYMENT.DUE table.
