Hello All,
I have not been able to get the keyboard keys for Home, End and Delete work within the jshell (or JED).

This link Jshell manualhttp://www.jbase.com/r5/knowledgebase/manuals/3.0/30manpages/man/sup12_JSHELL.htm says they should work, so I'm thinking it is a simple environment setting, but I've not figured out which it is.

I have tried many different terminal settings via EBS.TERMINAL.SELECT, but I've not found one that works.

Is there some trick to this ?

Thanks

What is the underlying Operating System you are using ? ( Windows / Unix )

When you are in the jsh prompt--> try pressing the Function Keys F1 , F2 and F3 the prompt changes to sh--> or jsh--> or msh---> It should be in jsh--> prompt for all jshell commands to work.

Also the EBS.TERMINAL.SELECT should be set to EBS-JBASE

Have a great day !

Thanks for the reply. We are running HP-UX here. What I don't understand is that the arrow keys work fine (and they are <esc> drive sequences), yet the REM/End/Home keys are not. This is particularly painful because I'm constantly switching between different editors across 3 different platforms/OS's (PS,VMS,UX). My fingers are a little happier with remapping my emulator keys for Home/End as ^A and ^E for UX. (^H and ^E for VMS)

I tried setting EBS.Terminal.Select to EBS-JBASE, and this did not make any difference.

Any other ideas?
Thanks...
