T24 on Windows Vista, Windows 7 was created by lawi
Very brief summary:
For many people, the problem is setting the home directory in windows. In vista and windows 7, its a bit different from what we had in XP.
Step 1. Create user - using control panel.
Alternatively, do it in command prompt.
Note: Start the cmd as administrator by right clicking on CMD and selecting 'Run as Administrator'
In CMD, type
NET USER T24USER /ADD *
Remember the * to allow you to create password
Step 2. Set the home directory
Again, in CMD, (still as admin) type:
NET USER T24USER /HOMEDIR:C:\R10\BNK\BNK.RUN
Of course you will use your BNK.RUN location instead of C:\R10\BNK\BNK.RUN
Thats it. If your remote.cmd is properly set, you should now telnet into your localhost as T24USER and run the fav classic mode in Vista, Win 7
Check images in the uploads section
Bonus: To hide the T24 user from windows logon screen: www.unp.co.in/f140/hide-user-account-from-welcome-screen-44728/
