Moving from Desktop (GUI) to Browser:
For me it has been a slight confusion as to whether Technical os Functional consultants are responsible for VERSION or other such work in Globus/T24, so with this in mind I have posted this on both Techical AND Functional sections.
We have recently move from Desktop to Browser (YAY!!).
However, this has opened up a new set of things to consider.
Finally my question:
Does anyone have a list (for VERSION, ENQUIRY or routines) that consultants have to do/take note of when developing? Such as HOTFIELD in the VERSION (ATTRIBUTES)?
Anything help will be GREATLY appreciated.
TIA!

Hi,
For Browser the most significant things u need to take note is Hote Field. Previously in Desktop, if u input your customer ID, T24 will populate other relevant field info like Customer name, address, residence, and etc, but in Browser it will not populate unless u indicate Customer is a Hot field. Previously on Enter is to go to next field or check field value but in Browser on Enter means validate the transaction. Browser do act different in terms of field navigation and field declaration. Eg is TELLER application, for you to activate Denomination/ Unit, u need to declare fields such as Account.1, Account.2, Currency.1, Currency.2, Amount.1, Amount.2, Customer.1 and Customer.2 as NO.DISPLAY field, if those fields are not needed in your version. There are so many things that Browser definately is different from Desktop. I can go on and on and on, but I will let u do your exploration. Trust me, I have bang my head to the wall till bloody and drop alot of hairs due to Browser. Good luck to u !
