CACHE.SIZE field in SPF was created by Chris
What's actually the internal CACHE.SIZE in SPF? How is it related to system performance and UniVerse system parameters?
We need to insert bigger cache size because some LD ammendments cannot be authorized, but we are not sure of the impact. Our present value is 999.

cheers

Hi Chris,

you can make a test in a test area by increasing the value to 9999 and performing the same scenario. It is recommended to change to 9999, as it would be very difficult to cause problem on the server. On the other hand, you will avoid cases like yours. Many banks have been advised to change to 9999.

it is recommended that if you have a powerful server to change it to 9999 which is the maximum. On lower configured servers my suggestion will be aroung 1000 as you will have terrible locking problems.
