Cannot telnet into bnk.run folder -Windows 2012 R2

I have setup my environment exactly like my previous R10 (On 2008 R2)
When I try telnetting into T24, I enter username and password - and that's it - telnet crashes.
To fix it I have to remove "Local Path " from the local user Account in profile and just leave "Profile Path". This put me into Windows and I have to then change directory to T24\bnk.run and run remote.cmd manually to get into T24.
TAFC is of course licensed.
Can anybody help please?

try to replace jsh call in your remote.cmd to cmd
Then - I suppose - you'll get to cmd.exe prompt.
Type jsh there and maybe you'll see the error message.
You got TAFC with R16?

I am moving from R10 to R16 initially with TAFC but will migrate to SQL Server as part of the upgrade project.
if I login manually, change directory to the bnk.run folder and run remote.cmd manually, everything works perfectly
I get the START GLOBUS Y/N prompt etc and can start T24 from Classic prompt without any problems.
"jsh" on its own works fine too.
I just cannot seem to telnet directly into T24 or "land" in the bnk.run and get it to run remote.cmd. I get thrown out every time.
When that happens all permissions are lost on the bnk.run folder and I have to re-assign them.
or more precisely I am not able to set the "Home Folder" Local Path, in the local user properties for the t24 user as the bnk.run folder as I have in R10.

Post here the output of jdiag -v command when you log in manually, maybe something will hit the eye...
Strange thing about permissions... Do you set "full control" for your T24 user?
Could be some security-related issue...
You can try to create another remote.cmd in the default home folder that will change the current directory (and %HOME%) to bnk.run and then run the remote.cmd that is located there...
Cheers

Nothing looks odd - except occasional spaces, like:
:C:\Program Files\Jav a\jdk1.6.0_20\jre\lib
.. probably copy/paste...
Try the suggestion I posted earlier to automate your manual login:
You can try to create another remote.cmd in the default home folder that will change the current directory (and %HOME%) to bnk.run and then run the remote.cmd that is located there...
Cheers

I agree with you that it seems to be a security issue but cannot determine the cause.

Anyway, telnet isn't safe at all; you maybe might think of installing an SSH server... There are some (even free) for windows platform.

I have also just realised that I have both TAFC R10 and TAFC R16 on the server at the same time and it is using the R10 telnet in services. Could that be the reason? (My TAFC_HOME is set to TAFC\R16

It's better to reinstall the telnetd service... TAFC uses shared memory and 2 different releases might use the same area and that might cause a conflict.
Again, think about using SSH...

I have another question for you.
Have you completed the T24 upgrade? Meaning - are you able to run T24 R16 under TAFC? Is it fully operational or you are forced to use TAFJ with it?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Haven't reached that stage yet.
We have just run the conversions and T24 is now running on TAFC R16 via classic mode, and next step is browser and porting to SQL Server. It's going to be a 2 month project.

As mentioned I had both TAFC 10 and TAFC 16 installed on the server
Although T24 was using R16, the telnet service running was pointing to the R10 telnet
I uninstalled TAFC and re-installed TAFC R16 and all is fine now with telnetting in.

Congrats!
So you're running TAFC R16 with Browser / RDBMS... What was the toughest issue or issues to resolve?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience...
Cheers
