I would like to know how you keep control of routines, versions, enquiries, applications that you develop. I am currently do in a Excel spreadsheet... Any suggestions?

CVS is a open source version controlling system. Downlaod from internet and configure this.

Or else buy PVCS to control your source versions.

Or else there are some T24 products available in market to do the version control.
