Building a Data Warehouse solution was created by datamaster
Dears,
We are building a data warehouse solution for T24.
We are yet to decide on how to extract data.
We would like to extract data online, that is whenever a record is created / updated we get that record and send it to our datawarehouse.
The trick is to know when a certain file gets updated?
Should we use jbase triggers?
Should we use the protocol application?
Is there any other applications that gives the Id's of updated records?
Please advise.

Our company - TIS Consultants - has already built a successful Data Warehouse solution for Banks using T24.
It has all the components including extraction and loading of the data from T24.
It is working live in several Banks, some for for almost 2 years.
Among other advantages it is multi-language (each user can see an interface in different language).
Please contact me for more information / web demo.

It's great to hear that you're working on a data warehouse solution for T24. Real-time data extraction is an important aspect of maintaining an up-to-date and accurate data warehouse. When it comes to monitoring updates, there are a few methods you can consider:
1. JBase Triggers: Using JBase triggers can be a viable option to capture changes in real-time. By setting up triggers on relevant tables or files, you can track updates as they happen.
2. Protocol Application: Leveraging the protocol application is another possibility, especially if T24 provides a protocol that can notify your data warehouse system when changes occur.
3. Change Data Capture (CDC): Consider implementing a Change Data Capture solution that is designed to capture changes in the source system and push them to your data warehouse. Many database systems have built-in CDC capabilities.
4. Third-Party Tools: You might also explore third-party tools or applications that are specifically designed for real-time data extraction and integration. These tools can often simplify the process.
In terms of identifying which method is the best fit for your specific requirements, I'd recommend discussing this with your technical team and evaluating the pros and cons of each approach. It's important to consider factors such as the volume of data, the frequency of updates, and the existing infrastructure.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Best of luck with your project!

Hi
1. Your link is about warehouses automation (i.e. storage of physical objects, not data warehouses)
2. I hope after 14 years since the last message the problem is already solved? )))
