Role-Based Home Page

Dear all,
There is a new menu option in T24 R09 called Role-Based Home Page

wondered if anyone has more details on this new menu item, is it dynamic, i.e. based on ur sms accesses you have options in ur home page, or is it a specific version/cos that needs to be created and is static?

Hi,

Under Role Based Home Pages Menu we will have different COS screens (i.e) Retail Manager, Retail Officer.

It was created to do the operations which are related to particular role and avoid accessing other menus. And operations related to a particular user will be available in a login menu.

i.e Retail Officer can only input transactions and Retails Manager can authorise the records.

1. Creating the COS screen
2. create a record in BROWSER.PREFERENCE application with id same as USER id(say RTOFFICER). Input the COS id in MAIN.SCREEN field of BROWSER.PREFERENCE.

Login with the above user(say RTOFFICER).
