OPERATION Field in Enquiry - Get Field Value from another Table

Hello all, 

In a NOFILE enquiry I extracted the value of a field called STATUS from X local table, however I do not intend to display the STATUS as is but rather its Description as specified in Y core table. How can I use the OPERATION field in ENQUIRY to fetch this value from Y core table and display it.

Field Name YYY may be a data field or an I or J descriptor defined in the Standard Selection record of file XXX Note that if a multi or sub valued item is returned from a LINK conversion, the multi and sub values are converted to spaces, so the result cannot be displayed in separate lines.
