Hi,

what is the significance of LAST.PRICE field in SECURITY.MASTER for BONDS.

Understand that shares this will be updated on a daily basis by an autoamtic field.

For BONDS will this be updated on a daily basis?

Hello harryy,

I can't imagine how LAST.PRICE for "shares this will be updated on a daily basis by an autoamtic field".

The LAST.PRICE is normally the last closing price (rate) at the stock exchange that is relevant for the specific security. That's the same for bonds and shares. For not official traded securities you will have an alternate source for the current price.

The only automation can be to have a interface to any pricing service like REUTERS, BLOOMBERG, TELEKURS, WM Dataservice etc.

Yes.thanks mate.

I meant to write "Understand that shares this will be updated on a daily basis by an autoamtic feed" and not "field" :)

Thanks.Understood that the price updates that happen through any external feed(telekurs bloomberg etc)

does not handle BONDS or SHARES differently :) They just update the LAST.PRICE :)
