Securities_FIFO was created by sureshas
can someone help me on this......
Day 1- client buys 1000 nominal of a security @100
position gets updated as 1000
Day 2- client buys 500 nominal of the same security @120
position gets updated as 1500
On day 3 client wants to sell 200 nominal from the first buy (where the price was 100)
is there any set ups in securities module for FIFO as i see system takes the average price while selling the position held ??

There are parameters for CGT (Capital Gains Tax) and EUSD (EU Council Directive on taxation of savings income) modules, not in "normal" securities module as far as I know. It's always using average.

thanks a lot jpb....i was just wondering why the functionality of selling positions on FIFO basis is still not avaibale :( and i am not sure whether its feasible to handle this by local development
