Thanks JPB!
Actually I read this forum for about a year but decided to join only recently.
Your posts are always very professional and useful.
Though I usually don't have a lot of time for forums but sometimes I do have some.
Happy T24-ing to everyone!

Good day,
We are looking for instructions how to replicate T24 R14 JBase. We are planning to migrate to a new system and would like to create an external database of all transactions and balances (historic) from T24 R14 JBase.
Thank you

Hi
What's your target DB? Keep in mind that in relational DBMS you'll have to "normalize" multi-valued data.
Long time ago Temenos had "GIT" module (not git as we know it - just "Globus Interface Tool") that did it for Oracle. For R14 I afraid they don't have it anymore. Then most possibly you need to create something yourself.

Hi VK,
Thanks for quick response.
So it sounds to me that multi-value to multi-value might be easiest (?), then the target DB might be Rocket Universe (or Jbase)?
We just want to create DB separate copy of T24 DB so that we can keep history and can go back to query, if needed.
Kind regards, Dennis

Hi
keep in mind jBASE licensing. Hope it's not time-limited in your case.
It depends if you're going to use a "frozen" copy of T24 for queries or just keep the data and use query language to retrieve the data.
If former - T24 licensing has to be refreshed every year (and it's probably not what you want).
If you use jBASE or another MV-database I don't foresee any major problems - as soon as you provide the tools to retrieve data that can not be easily retrieved with the query language.

Hi VK,
We want to second option to keep the data and use query language or (reporting tool) to extract data from separate stand-alone DB.
We need technical guide / assistance to create such a database.
Kind regards, Dennis

Hi
then you need to hire a T24 technical consultant since it's a full-time job for not a short period of time. Before you do that you need to formalize your requirements - what exactly you want to extract (and here you might also need a T24 business analyst).
(Both roles are not suitable for me in my current situation.)
