Learning pathway

Hi,
I want to learn the Temenos core banking product. What should be my learning path? What course do I take first? Eventually I want to study for certification. Please help.

Your books taught me so much and I am very grateful.

I am now seriously thinking about getting certified and have already created an account at tlc.temenos.com (temenos.csod.com).

But I am overwhelmed as to where to start. There are Catalogue and Pathways and Sandbox. I want to start at the beginning. Please help me choose the right package and practice engine so that I can embark on the journey.

It very much depends what a role you think to take for yourself... May be BA, technical one or administrator...

I think my role is primary going to be of technical in nature, writing subroutines, stuff like that. However, I do like to learn how core banking works, the fundamentals of core banking, retail modules, may be learn about migration in the future. I have only worked on R9 and in the coming days the bank is going to migrate to R21.

really hard to say... I'd suggest to start from learning of T24 architecture, components, installation and setup. Then it would be programming (note that R9 routines still work in R21 - provided there's no platform change like TAFC->TAFJ - but general Temenos approach for programming shifted a lot as I see). Learning how banking works might go in parallel or be tried later on.

on the tlc.temenos.com they have "Premium Pack" and "Temenos Transact". The "Temenos Transact" pack contains "role base learning pathways". Each pathways consists of specific courses. For example

Temenos Transact Pack -> (LP) Transact Functional Associate -> R21.CB1PRNAV - Browser Navigation

Can you direct me to the "starting point" please? Also, don't I need an installation of T24 to practice? Where do I get that?

I think you'd better use "Temenos Transact"
