Different stages of COB & Explanation was created by New Bee
Dear all,
I studied about COB and It's different stages. But I haven't gottten a clear explanation about them.
All I know is,
A - Application
S - Interest Calculation
D - Start of day
R - Reporting
O - Online.
But I really don't know the exact definition for each of them. For Ex: A - Application- I don't know whether It includes all application or not.
Please help me.
Thanks .

The sequence of the stages is
A - APPLICATION
S - SYSTEM WIDE
R - REPORTING
D - START OF DAY
O - ONLINE
As the COB is related to your installation (and licensed modules) there is no general answer to your question.
To see what is done in the different stages and jobs you can list the content of F.BATCH with this commandThere will be routines without a description in PGM.FILE but the mayority should have some text.
The sequence of the JOB.NAME is changed but I don't think this matters.
