How to access the first leg of a FX Swap

Hi All,

How can I access the first leg of a Fx Swap during Input of the 2nd leg?
Or asked differently where is the information of the first leg stored befor the second leg is committed?

YOU CAN GET FIRST LEG REFERENCE FROM SWAP.REF.NO FIELD.

Hi Salah,

I fully agree that I get the ID from the field SWAP.REF.NO, but where can i find the record.
When the 2nd leg of the swap is not committed the first leg is not yet written to the FX$NAU file.
I assume it is stored in the cash, but I was actualy hoping that I will find it somewhere else too.

Hi,

You can access this 1st leg reference number form R.NEW<FX.SWAP.REF.NO> record set of 2nd leg ref. If this will not helpful then second solution is you can use last 5 digit of forex id which is sequence no, sequence no in the 2nd leg reference number will always be the next number of 1st leg reference. Subtract one from the sequence no of 2nd leg reference you get the 1st leg reference.

Hi Salah,
Thanks, but I know how to get the ID of the first leg, my problem is where to read the record from, then as long the 2nd leg is not committed the first leg is not written to the forex file. so where will i find the record information of the first leg.

so you say that its only available in cash?
then I will need to do a cash read.. :-(
