What you mean by revaluation of traveller cheques?
If I understand correctly then they are revalued as part of asset liebility revaluation, as traveller cheques are type of assets (like cash).

normally revaluation process will not occur for TCs, because if the customer comesand purchase the TC, the banker will take the cash / cheque from the customer and sells the TC. Until such time, the TC will be treated a printed chequebook.
Hope this will solve your query.

The general principle is booking TCs as Contingent Item and their revaluation doesnot have any effect on the Balance Sheet.
The main purpose is to quantify in the Ccy of holding and in Local Ccy the amount of stock being held by the Bank.
Upon issuance, the contingent would be reversed and cash would be received at the teller against reduction of denomination from the stock.
In summary, reval is dependant on how TC handling has been setup.

Globus G13
Guys how does Globus calculate the figure it revalues and is there a way to determine how it gets the figure, to see if the figures are correct .Some kind of breakdown that show the individual amount that make up the total figure that then hits the revaluation PL for each currency.

at the end of each day Globus goes through revaluation and posts figures (totals per currency) in the revaluation PL .How can we get a breakdown of the different revaluations that add up to give us the total that then hits the PL.

Basically you will have by set up of different reval categories (like 53001, 53004, etc) set what is revaluation of asset liabilities and what represent revaluation of contracts (forex and swaps (CIRS). For contract revaluation you have standard reports in T24, something like REVAL.SUMMARY, etc
For revaluation numbers fpor asset liebilities you can look into PDS:MVNT.HIST enquiry that shows all position movements including those from the AL reval.
