Forced Account Closure was created by lion.of.arabia
Hi All,
I would like to know if it is possible to force an account closure, EVEN if the account has pending entries (forward) entries.
I need to write a routine to force an account to close.
Can anyone help?
I am using R06.
TIA!

Well what you are asking for is a Complete Local Development. Here is what you can do:
If the user is okay with manual process:
1. List the FWD movement on the account by using ENQ NOSTRO.FWD.BAL and ask user to reverse / close all the relevant contracts.
2. Once reversed create the ACCOUNT.CLOSURE record with Posting restrict as 90 and ONLINE.CLOSURE as Y
If the user is not okay with manual process:
1. Create a new Local Template and ask user to input the Account ID as @ID in the template, once the @ID is input populate the FWD entries in the Template by using the ENQ NOSTRO.FWD.BAL and also populate the contract details with flag to reverse / preclose the respective contracts.
2. Once the Template record is authorised create OFS Post messages to reverse / preclose the required contracts.
3. Update the status of the reversal / preclosure of the Contract back to the Local Template created, and once all the contract are reversed / preclosed mark a flag on the template as "Ready for Closure"
4. Create a service to select all the records with the flag as "Ready for Closure" and post the OFS post messages for ACCOUNT.CLOSURE (and suggest to keep this service on Auto & TSA on Phantom mode), and once the record is processed update the template record as 'Closed'.
