Can anybody kindly let me know what is the difference between reports RE.STAT.MISMATCH and RE.STAT.BAL.REC.

RE.STAT.MISMATCH will show the mismatch console keys and the cr and dr with their difference, while the RE.STAT.BAL.REC report will show further details of the console keys in RE.STAT.MISMATCH.

RE.STAT.MISMATCH is W type application; to run you need to apply V function to the relevant record and commit.
