soft delivery messages

What is soft delivery messages? Can anyone help?

It means, bank can design the message on their own, previously delivery messages are hard coded, now for Trade Finance and Misc. Deals are having this new facility.

i wnt to know how to go about it. Any suport documents

Concept of soft delivery messages is really good. We can customize the messages and the Advices as per the Banks Requirement, provided the related Activity codes are correctly identified by the developer.

In Brief,These Activity Codes are also hardcoded in the system and it changes for each and every kind of operation i.e, right from issuance of LC to Expiry of LC.

In LETTER.OF.CREDIT and MISSELENOUS DEALS this concept is used . Under EB-ADVICES we can do our own enhancements and decide at what point the message can be suppressed and under what operation what message must be triggered say like for Notifications , Payment Operations etc.

Even Sending Reminder Messages to the customer or the corrsepondent bank at specific intervals of time is possible by making use of Soft Delivery Concept.
