User SMS via 3rd party application was created by calvin
Hi,

I want to utilise the T24 SMS functionality, when a user accesses T24 via a separate application. For eg, T24 User A logs into the application. An interface sends a request to T24 to retrieve the information requested. The requirement is that only if the user A has access to the table/enquiry (as per the SMS profile), the information should be retrieved.

Limitation:
The user will not be able to enter his T24 user password via this application, since there are security concerns about maintaining/encryping the passwords.

The interface will be using a T24 super user id and so will have all privileges to extract and input information. I would like to know if there is a way to address this without writing new code to simulate the T24 SMS set up.

What I have tried - Used a super user to login using OFS (For eg, an ENQUIRY request). In the MSG.IN.RTN (in OFS source), changed the R.USER (common session variable) to have the SMS profile of the actual user (In this example, user A). This approach works, but I would like to know if there are any better ideas.

Thanks,
