Try to create BD0010002.C-20862132.SMS.1 or BD0010002.A-0200002970839.SMS.1 in DE.ADDRESS...

If this doesn't work as well - I afraid that's core error and you have to address it to Temenos support...

Cheers

:(
A very rookie mistake. I was trying to create BD0013218.C-20862132.SMS.1 in DE.ADDRESS while I was in COMPANY BD0010001.

Right now I was able to create BD0013218.SMS.1 after changing COMPANY to BD0013218.
(By the way I was NOT able to create BD0013218.C-20862132.SMS.1.)

I also found out that BD0013218.SMS.1 was required for setting the FROM.ADDRESS on DE.O.HEADER.

But, now I am facing another problem

Hi
Take a look at EB.TRANSFORM application; there's probably a record missing that corresponds to your settings.

Id = DE.910.1.1.GB.SMS
(I'm not absolutely sure about "1.1" part; I have "2.1" one but I never tried to set up SMS here)

If you also have "2.1" but don't have "1.1" you probably can safely copy the former to the latter.

Cheers

It worked!!!

:)

Now i am at MSG.ERR.CDE = Error in invoking Java interface - CALLJ Error code 2

I need to look at the environment and hope to fix it.

I can't thank you and others in the forum enough.

Hope to have many more questions in the future ... so many more opportunities to thank you.

Asif

Hi VK,

I am now trying to get a message created in DE.O.HEADER for SMS when there is transaction (Cash deposit, withdraw, clear check, etc.) done through TELLER module. Do I have to setup DE.MESSAGE and DE.MAPPING. Would appreciate a guideline or refer to any reading material.

Thanks and regards,

Asif

Hi
As far as I can see, there's no DE.MAPPING records that relate to TELLER module (so probably TT isn't linked to delivery at all and won't produce DE.O.HANDOFF / DE.O.HEADER records);

You can try to use VERSION field D.SLIP.FORMAT to route the output of either deal slip or enquiry to REPORT.CONTROL that in turn would point to PRINTER.ID with custom command that would finally send the SMS. Not an easy way but I afraid the only one that comes to mind at the moment.

Cheers

I am stuck :(

In a new T24 R09 environment after setting the followings:

1. DE.PARM - added SMS to OUTWARD.CARRIER
2. DE.INTERFACE has SMSINTEFACE
3. DE.CARRIER has SMS
4. CUSOTMER has SMS.1 value
5. DE.ADDRESS has corresponding record
6. DE.PRODUCT - added BD0010001.900.FT and BD0010001.910.FT where CARRIER.ADDR.NO is set to SMS.1
7. DE.MESSAGE has 900 and 910 record
8. DE.MAPPING has 900.FT.1 and 910.FT.1

But when a FT is authorized there is not delivery id shown in F.SMS.OUT.LIST

I have no clue :(

Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

I believe there's no need in updating DE.PARM...

Anyway... What's in DE.O.HEADER?

I have not checked DE.O.HEADER ...will check and let you know.

In general what I am trying to do is
Generating delivery advice ID for debit (900) and credit (910) in F.SMS.OUT.LIST for all customers (they are created in BD0010001) having their mobile number set to SMS.1 when FT is authorised.

I have written enquiry to run few routines to fetch sms related data from DE.O.HANDOFF and some other file thru OFS from 3rd party application server.

Btw ... isn't there supposed to be entry in F.SMS.OUT.LIST if there is entry in DE.O.HEADER? I am also not running SMS.OUT tsa service.

Following the previous instructions in the trail I am able to do all this in my test server but unable to replicate in another server.
Thanks for all your help.

Don't know really...

I am also not running SMS.OUT tsa service

Why?

I have not checked DE.O.HEADER

Probably it's in "unformatted" status.

Thank you VK for nudging me in the right direction.

SMS.OUT record in F.TSA.SERVICE was in REVE status
SMS.OUT record in F.BATCH was in REVE status

Once I made those records LIVE delivery advice IDs started to be seen in F.SMS.OUT.LIST for customers with number set in SMS.1 field in the FBNK.CUSTOMER table.

Again ... thanks a bunch :D

Dear VK,

Happy holidays and happy new year!!!
Sorry for a non technical question. You see I have mostly learned t24 through your books and online help and testing and working on my client's test environment. However, it seems it is possible to get T24 application to run on your own machine. I would like to know what is the process of obtaining such from Temenos? I am hoping you could point me to correction direction.

Thanks and regards,

Asif

Hi
Thanks a lot, all the best to you too!

As for obtaining T24, the only legal way is to ask This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to supply you a Model Bank for Windows.
If you work on a big project, ask your system administrators to contact Temenos.

Good luck!

Most humbly I inquire :)
I am working for a fairly large bank. Is it possible to discuss some work items in a professional context? How best to share email address or IM or any other direct means of communication?

Thanks and regards,

Asif

Totally understood :)

By the way, we have been running the SMS.OUT service successfully for the past few months BUT there are few times when we see that DE.O.HANDOFF, DE.O.HEADER record created successfully for SMS but the ID is not found in F.SMS.OUT.LIST resulted in no sms being sent for those deals. It probably happened 3-4 times in the last 3 months.

The CPU usage of this system sometimes go as high as 100% for prolonged period of time. Can CPU load be blamed for missing ID in F.SMS.OUT.LIST?

Can we 100% rely on DE to write ID in F.SMS.OUT.LIST if DE.O.HANDOFF and DE.O.HEADER is created for the same ID?

Thanks and regards,

Asif

Hi
If the record doesn't appear in the list, that's a thing to address to Temenos first of all.

High CPU load isn't a good thing... What's your DB - pure jBASE or an RDBMS? And - how many agents are used for delivery?

Replied by yusuf.asif@gmail.com on topic SELECT query on STMT.ENTRY
In an old message thread I read you said SELECT on STMT.ENTRY is unacceptable solution.

Before I even came across that suggestion I did create a NOFILE enquiry using the following

SEL.CMD = 'SELECT FLD1.STMT.ENTRY WITH ACCOUNT.NUMBER EQ 'account-number' BY-DSND DATE.TIME

And then took the top 6 records to come up with mini statement.

This was done in R09 with STMT.ENTRY having 120 millions of records.

It takes about .5 to almost 1 second to run this enquiry.

If select on stmt.entry is unacceptable what other way can I explore to get last 5 to 10 transactions to build a MINISTATEMENT of a customer account?

Btw ... Is there any reason to bog down the system with this query when the query is run at most 20 times a day?

As always your help is highly appreciated

Thanks and regards,

Asif

Hi
Actually that's Temenos recommendation.

Quite a high speed of SELECT... Is it RDBMS like Oracle as a back-end? Maybe there's an index on ACCOUNT.NUMBER?
You need to test it at your current system. Add the keyword time before SELECT to see the time taken. You can also use the keyword EXPLAIN to see more information how the data is searched. All this not in ENQUIRY of course - in jsh.
time EXPLAIN SELECT .....
