Hi all,

After making some changes in RE.STAT.REP.LINE,i tried to run RE.RECALC.REP.LINES.But system has frozen and locked the file 'FBNK.LOCKFILE.RE.STAT.REP.LINE as shown below.

JED F.LOCKING FBNK.LOCKFILE.RE.STAT.REP.LINE
File F.LOCKING , Record 'FBNK.LOCKFILE.RE.STAT.REP.LINE' Insert 15:40:21
Command->
0001 TNO :52 - 13:11:52 27 AUG 2008
0002 LOCKED BY RE.RECALC.REP.LINES



when i tried to run RE.RECALC.REP.LINES again,the system throws the error 'Error ' RE.STAT.REP.LINE HAS BEEN LOCKED ALREADY, TRY LATTER'.

Expected solution:Locks should not occur while running RE.RECALC.REP.LINES.

Kindly assist me to find why locks occur while running RE.RECALC.REP.LINES

Hi,

Either cler the LOCKING file or see if it locked in unix level. If so clear the lock at Unix level and try the same.

Hi,

Even after deleting the LOCKING record or clearing the locks at unix level,when i ran RE.RECALC.REP.LINES, again locking occurs.

Hence could u please let me know why this locks occurs and how can we avoid this.

Have you solved it?

Which version of T24 you are working?

Delete the locking record and rerun the job will solve the problem.
Make sure you are the only one running.


This locking is only to avoid multiple running of RE.RECALC.REP.LINES in a same environment.
Whenever you run this routine, it will update F.LOCKING with a record and delete the same record once it completes.
