some people try to "fiddle" with global arrays representing fields' properties ... Might work, might not. I'd suggest you check it at cross-validation stage.

Normally,, you setup the mandatory fields on the VERSION. On your case it depends on another value, a validation/input routine should be implemented

Its also possible to setup the value of field B based on value field A
