How to disable inactive.months for certain category was created by sailen

Hi,

For some account categories, I don't want to make these accounts inactive forever. Can any body suggest how can I achieve this requirement? There is an option to define inactive.months in ACCT.GROUP.CONDITION. However, if I want to make these categories active forever, how to setup the inactive.months value in ACCT.GROUP.CONDITION.

Hi
set up a new group in ACCT.GEN.CONDITION for your categories and then you can create ACCT.GROUP.CONDITION records for them (one per each currency).

Thanks for the reply. But what value is to be inputted in INACTIVE.MONTHS field in ACCT.GROUP.CONDITION to make the account category active forever. If we input 99 in INACTIVE.MONTHS, does it make the account category active forever or for 99 months only.

I afraid for 99 months only; then you'll have to reset INACTIV.MARKER in those which exceeded that time span.

Hi,

Resetting INACTIV.MARKER for all those accounts will be time consuming. I think there should be some option to bypass the dormancy period for some account categories thereby making the account categories active forever.

99 months is so long. You can create a multithread routine to reset the account during COB or a enquiry with fasthpath for bulk commit on ACCT.INACTIVE.RESET
