As the names suggest one is holding the IDs for todays STMT.ENTRY transactions per account, the other for yesterday (or better last working day).
Some entries are directly written to ACCT.ENT.LWORK.DAY during COB (e.g. those from IC).
In general ACCT.ENT.TODAY is copied over to ACCT.ENT.LWORK.DAY (after a clear-file) by the routine EOD.ACCT.ACTIVITY in AC.SYS.END.OF.DAY.
Some entries are directly written to ACCT.ENT.LWORK.DAY during COB (e.g. those from IC).
In general ACCT.ENT.TODAY is copied over to ACCT.ENT.LWORK.DAY (after a clear-file) by the routine EOD.ACCT.ACTIVITY in AC.SYS.END.OF.DAY.

Thank you for your fast reply would you mind if i ask another question? is there any possible way i can select all entries made on saturday and sunday? bec when i checked ACCT.ENT.TODAY it only shows monday transaction together with DIRECT DEBIT transaction.
Besides from STMT.ENTRY bec this file is huge.

If you have standard weekends ACCT.ENT.TODAY will contain all entries from (after) COB on Friday until COB on Monday.
To find out which entries are raised on SA or SU you'll have to read all STMT.ENTRY you find in ACCT.ENT.TODAY and check the DATE.TIME field.
QSELECT Fxxx.ACCT.ENT.TODAY *
LIST Fxxx.STMT.ENTRY DATE.TIME BY DATE.TIME
