Time needed to go live

How long time needed to bring system up G10 to T24, when need run EOD, end of month and end of year in front of go to live.



In bank who say can do in 36 hour, but me say not time much.



Ask if worktigers give time that is in experience.

To do proper testing and reconciliation required minumun 6 months that too depends upon the localization. If the localization are less then the project can be settled in 3 months to 6 months.



If you job is to just upgrade from G10 to T24 then 2 week should be sufficient. Since you are in G10 it will be first universe to jbase conversion and then a upgrade to T24.

How big your team is?
Which utility you are going to use?
How much localization do you have?



If you are well and super experienced in migration, then you can migrate the data&programs in 36 hours.
Testing is depending upon your business.

GvA n King are correct.



Coz i have tested one year R05.004. With in 2weeks em going to Upgrade from G12 to T24 in One day.(Coz i have well exp in dat)



So, The person who is doing upgrade has to test all modules one by one.



I have installed 5 patches after upgrade,coz of some issues.

Team is 16 people.

Use JUPORT for code. Bank make program for data.

If Iam not wrong you need to first migrate the G10 universe data to jBASE then you need to upgrade to T24.


If your team is responsible only for the migration & upgrade, you can complete in 2 weeks.



Testing is depends upon your customer. As zaki said, each module has to be tested. You need to allocate time for each modulo.
