Archiving transaction files was created by sony
Hi all,
Is it possible to archive STMT.ENTRY or CATEG.ENTRY files?
If you guys ever do this, please tell me the impact of archiving these files.
Thanks.

You can archive STMT.ENTRY and CATEG.ENTRY
STMT.ENTRY can be archived for every 3 months.
CATEG.ENTRY can be archived only once in a year.
The only impact is the ENQURIES you use. For all you live enquries you need to write an equivalent archive enquiry to get data from the archived files.
Which version you use?

I don't think there is any limit for the time period.
You can archive SE /PL for any period of time.

The conversion process is purely depends on the server you are using and the volume of your database.

There is an application called ARCHIVE where you have to create a record for the file you like to archive. The id of the record should be the application for which you like to archive. The RETENTION.PERIOD field will determine the period for which the archiving has to happen. You can even attach routines to do the archiving. There are several workarounds in this application that will help you archiving.Explore that application and i hope you will get what you want.
