Start.TSM in TAFJEE cluster

Hi i am new here i have some basic questions regarding TSM and agents

after starting TSM service on AUTO mode from front end , agents are not assigned or u can say started until i start TSM from TAFJE cluster like “Start.TSM”

after this execution all process get their assigned agents number and they are executed .

Why we need START.TSM on TAFJ to start agents?
why its not started only simply hy starting TSM services from front end

Hi,

Please always start TSA.SERVICE record TSM, SERVICE.CONTROL field value as START. Please do not initiate TSM service control field value as AUTO.

TSM is the manager which will initiate the agents to run whether its AUTO or START.

START.TSM is a one time activity to initiate the TSA services to be run in the environment.

Once you stop the TSA.SERVICE record TSM then all the services will be stopped.
