This is the definition for EB.OBJECT:
This application is used to define standard field types. This allows for the system wide specification of standard field lengths. This enhancement will only work on the Desktop version of T24 and is used for input purposes only.
If extended account numbers are to be used, the user must update the ACCOUNT.MASK held on the COMPANY record as well as updating the MAX.LENGTH field on the ACCOUNT record on the EB.OBJECT table. If the record ACCOUNT does not exist on the EB.OBJECT table, then the default length of 16 is used; otherwise an ACCOUNT record must be created in EB.OBJECT. The application AUTO.ID.START must have its ‘ACCOUNT.NUMBER’ record amended so that the ID.START field has the same number of characters as the ACCOUNT.MASK and the MAX.LENGTH field in EB.OBJECT.
Also remember to change the Account Number field length on any Enquiry or Report so that the extended account number will fit.
Fields CHECKFILE and ENRI.FIELD are for future development and are not used by the system.
