BTPN Syariah has adopted the T24 for Islamic Banking, Temenos’ core banking solution.

The Indonesia-based bank has deployed the solution to support its newly-created Shariah business unit.

The deployment of T24, which runs on Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server 2012, will enable the bank to deliver a fully Shariah-compliant service to its Islamic customers. The solution will help the bank focus on business growth, manage risks, and control costs.

“We are delighted that BTPN Syariah has successfully gone live with Temenos T24 for Islamic Banking,” said Martin Frick, head of Asia at Temenos. “Our solution will enable the bank to serve its rapidly-growing Islamic customer base with a state-of-the-art core banking system, while providing the confidence that its solutions are fully Shariah-compliant. T24 for Islamic Banking is currently licensed to more than 50 banks, demonstrating its reliability and suitability to this market.”

The T24 platform was implemented by Temenos’ partner Anabatic Technologies. The bank is now able to meet all the requirements of the Central Bank of Indonesia and the national financial services authority for the platform to enter the first go-live phase.
