Configuring Putty was created by ninetailfox
Hi all,

Can anyone please help me with configuing putty and T24 using Telnet in Windows Operating System. I have created a new user and have turned on the Telnet Client in Control Panel. I have also added the respective profile path and local path(bnk.run) in the User account
Yet I am facing error like connection is not established. Can anyone please share any steps that I missed or can tell whether I need to start any service in T24 or Windows.

Do I need to give any specific folder permissions(bnk.run?) to the User account.

Can you please suggest an approach to go about it.
Thanks in advance..!!

Hi

firstly if you have Putty you don't need Telnet Client.

secondly... you use TAFC? if yes, have you initiated its telnetd.exe?

Hi VK,

Yes I am using TAFC and I am unaware of telnetd.exe. Can you please tell me whether I need to download and run it before trying to connect through putty.

Thanks

Hi
it resides in bin folder of your TAFC.

before you are able to connect with Putty you need to go to your bnk.run (using RDP or so), run your remote.cmd to set up the environment and then:
telnetd.exe install

telnetd.exe start

This will create a windows service with the name like ""jBASE telnet server". Then - if it's running - try to connect with Putty.
