hero83 created the topic: STMT.ENTRY alternatives?

Hello all,

I need to know if there any concat tables rather than ACCT.ENT.TODAY and ACCT.ENT.LWORK.DAY for reading STMT.ENTRY as it is not advisable to be used in selections inside enquiries for its large size which is impacting the performance

You can start with looking at FXXX.STMT.PRINTED and FXXX.ACCT.STMT.ENTRY

dqb replied the topic: Re: STMT.ENTRY alternatives?

we created a summary index of STMT.ENTRY

<key> account * month
<001> multivalue DAY NO
<002> multivalue AMOUNT.LCY
<003> multivalue AMOUNT.FCY
<004> multivalue VALUE.DATE
<005> multivalue TRANS.REF
<006> multivalue TRANS.DESC
<007> multivalue CURRENCY
<008> multivalue ENTRY.ID
<009> multivalue OPEN.BAL.LCY
<010> multivalue OPEN.BAL.FCY
<011> multivalue CLOSE.BAL.LCY
<012> multivalue CLOSE.BAL.FCY

We did a once-off conversion of STMT.ENTRY
and a daily update from ACC.ENT.TODAY in COB

and wrote a sexy program that returns all transactions between two given dates with a running total

call STMT.ENTRY.TXNS(start.date,end.date,txns)

We use this to create extremely fast statements (sub 8 secs)

Hi,

you should try this:

CALL EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST(ACCT.ID,FROM.DATE,TO.DATE,ID.LIST,OPENING.BAL,ER)

"ACCT.ID" should be the account id
"ID.LIST" will have all the STMT.ENTRY ID's between the dates FROM.DATE & TO.DATE
"OPENING.BAL" will have the balance of the account at FROM.DATE

Best wishes

For testing purposes I was trying to call EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST core function from within a program (not subroutine) from jshell. But it is giving me FATAL ERROR and kicking me out of the shell login.

What am I doing wrong here?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi
you might miss global vars from I_COMMON.
Try to log in to T24, log out and run your program in the same session.

Cheers

Thanks!

log in to T24, log out did the trick.

However, I got no opening balance or id list in return :(

Isn't it supposed to return ID list from FLD1.STMT.ENTRY?

Best regards,

Asif

Hi
when you logged in to T24, which company you were in when you exited? One with mnemonic LD1 or another?

I never use non-documented core routines so I can't give you any advice on that one.

Thanks again.

I had to change the COMPANY to LD1 before it worked.

By the way, what did you mean by "non documented core routine?" Should I not try to use EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST in order to generate account statement/transaction list? I am tasked with coming up with an eqnuiry for transaction list on an specific account for a date range which will basically look very similar to what account statements are. Is proper ways other than using EB.ACCT.ENTRY.LIST?

Best regards,

Asif

Hi
actually I was wrong about that routine - I found it in subroutine guide. Feel free to use it.
