locke created the topic: Get/Set local field value using excel vba

Dear,

We're developing a small utility to auto retrieve/input FT using excel vba. Our environment is R17/Desktop. Globus version 1.7.
Our FT version has some local fields. I wonder is there anyway to get/set local fields value through globus desktop?
We tried using clsInput.value/clsinput/setvalue, they work fine with legacy fields but both not work with local fields.
If Yes then what's the syntax we must use?
Our code snippet as below:

Sub get_val_it()
Dim GLOBUS As New DESKTOP.Application
Dim App As New DESKTOP.clSInput
Dim s1,s2 As String

Set App = GLOBUS.GetApplication("FUNDS.TRANSFER,VMB.IT.FCYNOST S FT123456789")

s1 = App.Value("ORDERING.CUST", 1, 0) & "//" & App.Value("ORDERING.CUST", 2, 0) '=> this command work fine, it return field value
s2 = App.Value("RECEIVING.ADDR", 1, 0) '=> this command return blank althought field RECEIVING.ADDR has data (RECEIVING.ADDR is local field)

'MsgBox s1
'Msgbox s2

End Sub
Thank you,

Hi,

Ty for your reply.
We tried to use LOCAL.REF with the local field number but not success, maybe because of wrong syntax. Attached image is our local field setup

Please help us with the correct syntax!

Hi
I almost never used data retrieval via Desktop... So syntax isn't something I know about.

Is it the only way to retrieve the data? What about jQL?

Cheers

Have you tried

s2 = App.Value("RECEIVING.ADDR", 1, 1) ?
