Dear sirs,
We are using Google Chrome as the T24 browser client (T24 R17) and on Windows based teller machines.
The Print Location is set to Local for teller users in BROWSER.PREFERENCES.
Each teller has a deal slip physical printer connected to his PC via a local PC port, but he has also another network printer defined on his Windows machine that he uses to print from other non-T24 browser based applications. If using a non-T24 browser application from Chrome and printing to the network printer then whenever the Teller comes back to the T24 Browser page and opts to print a deal slip, the printer dialog appears with the last printer selected (the network printer). The teller has to select the local printer explicitly in that case to print the deal slip. If he does not notice this change of current printer in Chrome, then the deal slip will be printed on the wrong printer (the network one).

The question is:
Is there a way, to configure T24 Browser to always enforce a specific physical local printer name for a certain user so that deal slips get always directed to that correct one without need for any prior verification/selection of that printer in the Chrome browser printer window?

Thanks and regards

Hi
I don't know if there's a way to enforce T24 do what you want but you can try:

1. Make your local printers a "network" ones (I believe that's feasible under windoze) and set up T24 to use such "network" printer. You will have however to create a separate queue for each such printer.

2. Use different browsers for T24 and other browser-based applications.

Cheers
