MasterL created the topic: Tracking changes in T24

Hi guys,

Is there a way to track amended or new records in T24? I am writing an extraction program and I want to avoid the cost of full table extraction.

At the same time, doing a select with date time filter may even be more costly.

If there's a way to quickly identify only the amended and new records...

For some transaction tables you can rely on concat files for new records.
For all other data I would suggest to establish triggers or attach a Auth.Rtn (via VERSION.CONTROL also for Non.Version.Run) that writes the keys of changed/new records to your own concatfile.

Ypou mean triggers at the DB level? The client is running T24 R10 on Oracle.

How would this be achieved ( just point me in the right direction)

I'll also explore the version routine option

See www.jbase.com/r5/knowledgebase/manuals/3...s/man/ADVANCED11.htm for triggers in jBase.
As these are thrown from jEDI it should be enough to define them in jBase, no need to bother with Oracle...
